Liverpool

No, not the football team who can’t play anywhere outside of L4 (actually scratch that, they lost three nil to Everton too) but where I went on Saturday… a complete surprise!

Anyway…

Wednesday

Some days get mentioned twice in my blog, but usually one of those will be a “Today” reference. Anyway, Wednesday Sarah and I went out for a curry date in East Didsbury.

We went to Sangam 2, after looking at all the other places and disregarding them for one reason or another (going there recently or my reluctance for a third chinese in a week being the main ones). It was lovely.

Thursday

Could’ve gone to the beer fest but stayed in and worked instead.

Friday

Went to the beer fest! had several ok’ish beers, none of them rocked my world.

Afterwards it was Sam’s party, where Justin kindly made me a compilation of stuff - looks pretty decent! I left sometime after 1am.

Saturday

Sarah promised an afternoon date but wouldn’t tell me where we were going… After leading me to the train station (which was a surprise in itself) and me sticking my fingers in my ears to drown out the railway announcements we arrived in Liverpool at around 2pm.

It was a very windy and wet day, so Sarah eschewed plans to take the ferry (we’ll be back next summer, though) and we went on the Beatles tour - which was pretty decent!

It was, however, longer than we thought so we didn’t get a chance to visit the tate, though we had some slap up fare in bar HaHa! before heading back to the station.

A very fun day out!

Upon arriving back in manchester we went down to Felicini for giant profiteroles, which were ace. The Northen Grove lot then contacted us and we headed into town only to be greeted by the busiest pubs in chrisendom.

Eventually we found one we could squeeze into (Bar Fringe) and had a pint before heading home as we were completed naq’d!

Sunday

Went home and started to apply to PwC. Watched Liverpool play atrociously against Arsenal (0-3) and then cooked pizza for dinner.

Monday

I’ve come into work so I can print lots of things off!

  1. Hey, well I’m picking up on the last comments thread here as I never saw your last one… Well I guess there are some Legato bits in there - but not that many really! There are some nice solos though. As for the vocals, the chap switches between a great metal voice (you know, you can only understand what he’s saying if you read the lyrics) and a kind of normal singing voice.

The guy seems to be into classical stuff as there’s a lot of nice acoustic stuff in the songs too… As all the songs are about 7 - 10 minutes long there lots of scope for different stuff I guess.
