Bored of Blogging
I’m a bit bored of blogging, but we’ll see if I can keep it up for now.
Saturday
Played in a poker tournament in Sheffield. It was a deep stack\long blinds tourney, and pretty good fun. I lasted for around 6 hours before going out in 60th. Rosy came 63rd and Jon Thompson 102nd. I felt I could’ve done better, but did hit a bad run of luck at one point.
On our way there we met an incompetent bus driver who didn’t know where he was even after we’d pulled out the Sheffield A2Z.
Anyway… back home on the train and round to Sarahs.
Sunday
Rosys turn to cook sunday dinner, and he came up with swordfish. Which was nice.
Then onto a distinctly underwhelming fireworks display at wythenshawe park, It was ok, but we were showered in ashes and it was half an hour late, with no big ending either.
Monday
Work from home then first out in the student poker tourney as I tried some proper aggression for a change.
Tuesday
Had my demonstrating lesson then went to watch Borat at the cinema. It’s ok, funny in parts (unfunny in others), but it’s not the sort of thing I’d go to see at the cinema. I described it as something I’d watch on tv only when the adverts were on in whatever I was actually watching. Overall : Not recommended. (2/5)
Wednesday
Today.

haha, I love your comment about watching whilst the ads are on
So maybe I’ll give that film a miss!
Oh yeah, do you like Opeth?

They’re a band! I would have thought you’d like ‘em - gots bits of Death Metal / prog rock / some nice acousticy bits in there… I bought the album “Still Life” in the Virgin sale about a month ago, and I can’t stop listening to it!

I think Justin knows all about Opeth…he probably sneers at them for being too soft rock, though.
The various blogs I read all seem to be getting updated less frequently than they used to. Except Linden’s, but that’s always gone in fits and starts anyway. Don’t stop!

If you don’t blog, how will I know what you’ve been up to?
Other methods. Oh yeah.
Do or do not, there is no try.

Opeth, I’ll give them a listen and see what they’re like. How legato are they? and what sort of vocals do they have?
