A Weekend, Just Like Any Other…
Plans on Friday suddenly materialised when I decided to head down to Hardy’s Well, when I finally finished my work, for a quick pint with Linden & Rosy.
It was suggested that we head on down for a bit of Indie action, namely we planned to Take The Fifth (that site is currently advertising a foam party, which was not our intention), after we were contacted by Mia.
Unfortunately Mia wasn’t allowed in to fifth as she’d left her student ID at home so we moseyed on down to the Salisbury, I took care of some brief kebabage on the way.
Upon arriving it was quickly decided that our alternatives were Fab CafĂ© (which I’m emminently bored of, since we always seem to go there), 42nd Street or a club I’d never even heard of called “South”.
A journey into town rendered humourous repartee such as “Which way is ‘South’ “. Superb.
Eventually finding the club I was perturbed to discover it, in fact, was not playing Indie at all, but rather a mix of 60s and 70s stuff. Which is all well and good, but I was pretty much in the mood for some Indie type action, so didn’t enjoy it muchly. I left with a less than rosey view of said establishment.
Got home fairly late, slept, and woke to found it was Saturday.
I really didn’t do much on Saturday, just chilled out (apart from a brief, wet interlude to Sainsbury’s).
We then cleaned the house on Sunday, watched the play off final and wrapped it up with a big fat feast of food cooked by me.
24 occurred and then some other random tv fare before bed beckoned.
Monday and Tuesday have been largely occupied by work.
The Mighty Boosh arrived on DVD and we all watched the first two episodes. It is Funny.
Right now, it is mid-day on Tuesday. It’s Anna’s birthday too (Happy Birthday) and I’ve got to stay at work ’til I’ve finished this document, then I don’t have to come in tomorrow and can prepare for our trip to Riga (twinned with slough) - instead.
Wayne has set up a “Riga” Blog. Check it out. We leave on Thursday.

The Boosh season two is the absolute shiznit. Possibly even funnier than the first season, which was immensely good.
Have a thuper time in Riga and I’ll see you at Cooper Temple
